Is recycling a better option?
The presentation here does raise some views that we can consider, however it also depends on the waste situation.
The critic here, Thomas Deichmann, claims that recycling is a waste of time, waste of money and waste of brains.. Depending on the angle of his critique and arguments, I think he may be correct in some ways.. learning from the youtube videos I have in this site .. because there exists big factories or compressors, machines that use too much power or energy etc to recycle materials. For such a case, he may be correct, however most developing countries do not have such facilities or finance to establish large recycling facilities to recycle their waste. Much or at least 80%-90% household and industrial waste is dumped in open sites, and mostly burned off or scavenged. For the project, it is no where near what Thomas has his views about because practically the scale of recycle will be too small for a need of large recycling facilities. For my case, no... recycling is not a waste of money or time...
THIS IS A PROJECT PROPOSAL ON WASTE RECYCLING FOR COMMUNITY ACTION - FOR INVOLVING AND ENGAGING COMMUNITIES TO WORK TOGETHER FOR AND TOWARDS A COMMON GOAL THAT WILL BENEFIT THEIR SUBURBAN COMMUNITY AND FOR THE GENERAL CLEANLINESS OF THE CITY OF PORT MORESBY, PAPUA NEW GUINEA. [You can comment on the articles I posted or should you want to contribute some new ideas or articles, email me at ghughie@gmail.com since it does not seem possible to do so directly to the blog]
